STAR OF HOPE
FMG DESIGN

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Star of Hope is a Christ-centered community supporting Houston’s homeless men, women and children. They encourage positive life changes through programs in spiritual growth, education, employment, life management, and substance abuse recovery. FMG Design developed an interior and exterior experiential graphics aesthetic and donor recognition graphics program.

Ryan Keen had initially designed the exterior and interior signage graphics for Star of Hope before I was assigned to the project. I was given the challenge of designing the donor recognition program. Because this is a support community, I wanted to emphasize the meaning of "home." I then presented the concept featuring a collage that looked much like a "family photos" wall in someone's house. The method and materials were very simple and cost effective. The client sent us many photos of the families in their community. We applied those photos to the second surface of an acrylic panel and then had a boarder painted on the first surface to represent a classic frame. This was another one of those projects that I felt very proud to work on, and the client was very pleased with the result.
