OUR SUPER COOL WEDDING MATERIALS BY
YOURS TRULY

BACKGROUND INFORMATION
After viewing my website and looking through this page, you have probably come to the conclusion that I love my cat, Storm... A LOT! She's been family for over ten years now and has been by my side through all of my highs and lows. I even named her after my favorite X-Men hero, Storm.

When my husband came onto the scene, Storm was very much set in her ways, and she was used to living the bachelorette life with me. She was not at all happy with his presence in our home at first and was sure to let me know this when she retaliated many times. However, through time and patience, she came around and now the two of them are best buds. Their friendship blossomed so much so, that when I shared the idea of featuring her on our save the date, my husband, Vincent, pounced at the idea. I designed a save the date that very much so portrays her personality . . . a grouchy old lady, set in her ways, who is queen of the castle and one who would retaliate against anyone that chose not to attend our wedding. We were also married right before Halloween, so the black cat theme worked perfectly. Of course, we received some strange looks and even a bit of protest here and there concerning the concept but, this is us and I like us.

I kept the same fonts and style for the formal invitations and actually used a pattern from the tile floor at the Dunlavy for the die-cut on the trifold. Later, I designed a personal seal, using our initials, so that we would have our own wax stamp for the envelopes. Gold lettering and black, with hints of white, just seemed to work perfectly for our lovely wedding on an October evening.
